Engineering Student Ambassador
I graduated highschool and currently live in Anchorage, Alaska.
Why did you choose UGA?
I want to begin by saying I knew 0 people when I came to this school as a 1st year. I had toured it in the Spring of my senior year and after careful consideration knew Athens is where I belonged. Not only was the campus accessible and beautiful, it connected right to the heart of the Athens: the downtwon district. This vibrant, colorful place was full of smiles and people willing to help if you needed it. I knew the people here would be genuine and that there was plenty of fun to be had; so I chose UGA and haven't looked back since.
Favorite memory as a Bulldog Engineer?
Traveling to Kennedy Space Center in Florida where 5 other students and I represented our aerospace club (SAI) as a national finalist for rocketry. It was an all expense paid for trip where we not only competed in an altitude based rocket competition, but also had fun learning about NASA and what the future holds for space exploration.
