The land application program provides technical support for beneficial reuse of by-products in agriculture. The program looks for opportunities for beneficial reuse that are environmentally safe and are agronomically effective for the farmer. This benefits society by conserving landfill space. Some of the by-products we have worked with in the program are

animal wastes as a fertilizer and organic matter source, biological textile waste as a fertilizer, food processing wastes as an organic matter and nutrient source, municipal biosolids as a fertilizer and organic matter source, residential building wastes as soil amendments or for erosion control, water treatment residuals as a lime source, wood fly ash as a potassium source.
