Engineering 150 Gala: Celebrating our impact

The College of Engineering celebrated 150 years of engineering at the University of Georgia at its Engineering 150 Gala Nov. 3 at the Classic Center in Athens.

More than 350 people attended the event, where the college recognized its inaugural class of Engineering Impact Award recipients. The awards honor individuals that have demonstrated a sustained commitment to the discipline of engineering at the university and were presented to Dale Threadgill, J. Barnie Beasley, Mickey Brown and Jonathan Jones.

The gala also marked the debut of two special videos: one showcasing the surprising long history of engineering at UGA and one highlighting the exciting trajectory of the College of Engineering.
