Alumni’s company lands on top tech start-up list

ichor logoA health and fitness products company created by two graduates of the University of Georgia College of Engineering has been named to a list of the top ten Most Innovative Young Tech Companies in Atlanta.

Ichor, founded by Ty Frix and Andrew Johnson, ranked No. 3 on the Atlan10 list, an online ranking of technology start-ups.  The site judged companies on three dimensions: potential in the idea, potential in the market and potential to execute and be successful.

Frix graduated magna cum laude with a degree in biomedical engineering in 2012. He went on to receive an MBA in finance and entrepreneurship from UGA in 2014. Johnson was a biomedical engineering major and graduate cum laude in 2009. He earned an MBA from UGA in 2012. Both Frix and Johnson were also members of the UGA football team.
