Cooperative Education Program
The cooperative education program combines academic and applied learning experiences. Cooperative Education is a structured educational plan in which students combine periods of work with periods of academic study. During the periods or work students work with practicing engineers in a salaried position in a professional setting. This type program is designed to help integrate classroom theory with workplace practice. Students who participate in the engineering co-op program are required to take ENGR3900 during the semester in which they participate in the program. Students are not allowed to participate in the engineering cooperative education program until after their freshmen year of school.
Notices of internship opportunities are sent to engineering students via their UGA email.
