The engineering programs at UGA do not currently have study abroad courses. However, students in engineering often take Study Abroad coursework to satisfy degree requirements in Areas IV and V of the General Education curriculum. Engineering students at UGA can also participate in Study Abroad Experiences in which students enrolled in ENGR4920 Engineering Capstone Design Project work on design projects associated with problems around the world. In this course students have worked on problems in Uganda, Morocco, Costa Rica and Thailand. As part of this course students have traveled to these countries to talk with their customers about their design projects. Students at UGA can also participate in Engineers without Borders Club activities.
The engineering programs at UGA do not currently have any Maymester courses. Engineering coursework is available during Fall, Spring and Summer Academic terms.
