Photo of students working on projectsThe College of Engineering requires at least 24 total course hours for the MS degrees, 12 of which are in classes populated only by graduate students, and the remainder of which may be any 6000 or greater level course.

MS degrees are required to have at least 3 hours of ENGR 7000 and at least 3 hours of ENGR 7300. Programs of study are customized with student input for each student by their advisory committee, major professor, and graduate coordinator, with the Graduate School Dean having final approval. Any additional Graduate School requirements may be found by viewing the graduate school on-line bulletin. Students should also refer to the on-line CENGR Graduate Handbook.

PhD degrees are required by the Graduate School to have 16 hours of 8000 level courses. Committees typically mandate 6-8 hours of additional coursework. Programs of study are customized with student input for each student by their advisory committee, major professor, and graduate coordinator, with the Graduate School Dean having final approval.
